About
Anne Mortimer is a British artist best known for her illustrated children’s books and Natural History illustrations. Recognised as one of the world’s finest contemporary painters of cats and miniature painting.
Elected full membership to the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers (RMS) in 1987 and full membership to The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) in 1988. Awarded an Honourable Mention for her work and the Gold Memorial Bowl, their highest award in 2023, for her miniature “Woodland Primroses”.
She has been part of the stationery industry for 48 years, designing high street ranges throughout the world.
A designer for The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) from 1978 until her retirement in 2025.
